Sludge Dewatering Screw Press Package Ready for Shippment to Europe Client

GN Separation has recently completed the manufacturing and factory preparation of a complete sludge dewatering package for a European client. The equipment, consisting of a GNDL303 Sludge Dewatering Screw Press and a GNSJY3000 Chemical Dosing Unit, has successfully completed the production process and is now ready for shipment to the client's project site. The package is designed to provide a compact, automated and reliable solution for continuous sludge conditioning, thickening and dewatering.

The GNDL303 Sludge Dewatering Screw Press is an economical and environmentally friendly solution developed for the mechanical dewatering of various types of sludge. The equipment uses the principle of screw extrusion to achieve continuous solid-liquid separation. During operation, sludge is conveyed forward by the rotating screw and gradually compressed as the internal geometry changes. The increasing compression force, together with the small gaps between the fixed and floating rings, allows water to be separated from the sludge while retaining the solid particles. This process enables continuous sludge thickening and dewatering without the need for complex operation.

Before entering the screw press, sludge can be conditioned with polymer to improve floc formation and enhance the release of water from the sludge structure. For this project, GN has integrated the GNSJY3000 Chemical Dosing Unit into the package to provide reliable preparation and dosing of the conditioning chemical.

The GNSJY3000 is a dry powder chemical dosing system designed for automatic preparation, maturation and storage of polymer solution. Its main body is manufactured from stainless steel and incorporates different stages for chemical preparation and storage. During operation, the dry chemical and water are accurately mixed in the preparation stage and thoroughly stirred before the solution moves into the maturation stage. After sufficient maturation, the prepared chemical solution is transferred to the storage tank and continuously supplied to the dosing point through the dosing pump. This automated preparation process helps maintain stable chemical concentration and supports consistent sludge conditioning performance.

The combination of the GNDL303 screw press and GNSJY3000 dosing unit provides the client with an integrated sludge dewatering solution. The system is equipped with automatic control technology, allowing the main operating functions to be managed through a PLC control system. This reduces manual intervention and makes the equipment easier to operate and maintain. The compact package design also simplifies transportation and on-site installation, with the main site requirements limited to the necessary connections for water, power and sludge.

Another important advantage of the system is its continuous and low-energy operation. Compared with conventional high-speed dewatering equipment, the screw press operates at a relatively low rotational speed, helping reduce energy consumption and mechanical wear while maintaining stable dewatering performance. The collected filtrate can be discharged or returned to the appropriate treatment process, while the dewatered sludge is continuously discharged for subsequent transportation, disposal or further treatment.

With manufacturing and inspection now completed, the sludge dewatering package is being prepared for shipment to Europe. GN Separation will continue to provide technical support during installation and commissioning to help ensure smooth operation at the customer's site.
