GNLW224 Dewatering Centrifuges Ready for Overseas Client FAT

This week, GN Separation finished the assembly of four GNLW224 decanter centrifuges and the corresponding polymer dosing units at its manufacturing facility. The equipment is scheduled for final inspection and acceptance testing by an overseas client next week.

The GNLW224 represents GN Separation’s smallest-capacity model within its range of decanter centrifuge designed for wastewater treatment applications. Engineered to deliver reliable performance in compact spaces, the unit operates at a maximum rotational speed of 5,000 RPM, enabling efficient separation of solid and liquid phases from various industrial and municipal wastewater streams. Each centrifuge is equipped with a 3-variable-frequency drive (VFD) control cabinet, allowing operators to adjust key parameters—including bowl speed, differential speed, and feed pump flow rate—to optimize processing conditions based on specific material characteristics and operational requirements.

To enhance overall treatment efficiency, the centrifuges are paired with GN Separation’s polymer dosing units, which precisely introduce flocculating agents into the wastewater stream. This chemical conditioning step improves particle aggregation, facilitating more effective separation of suspended solids during centrifugation. The synchronized operation of the centrifuges and dosing systems enables end-users to achieve higher solid-liquid separation rates and clearer effluent, reducing downstream processing burdens and environmental impact.

The GNLW224’s compact footprint allows it to fit into existing plant layouts without requiring extensive modifications, a critical advantage for facilities seeking to upgrade legacy equipment or expand capacity within limited space. Its robust construction, featuring corrosion-resistant materials and wear-resistant components, ensures long-term durability even under demanding operational conditions, such as high-temperature or abrasive sludge environments.

The upcoming client inspection will involve comprehensive testing of the assembled units, including verification of rotational speeds, water test flow rates, vibration and main bearing temperature rising etc. GN Separation’s technical team will collaborate closely with the client’s engineers to demonstrate the system’s capabilities and address any specific concerns related to integration with existing infrastructure.

With the demand for compact, energy-efficient wastewater treatment technologies has grown steadily in recent years, driven by stricter environmental regulations and increasing industrialization in emerging markets. GN Separation’s decanter centrifuge positions the company to capitalize on this trend by offering a cost-effective alternative to larger, more complex systems without compromising on performance. With production lines now ramping up to meet anticipated demand, GN Separation reaffirms its position as a competitive player in the global wastewater treatment equipment sector.
