GN Containerized Sludge Dewatering System for Overseas Sewage Treatment Project

With the continuous tightening of environmental regulations worldwide and the rapid expansion of industrial and municipal wastewater treatment demands, efficient sludge management has become a critical part of modern sewage treatment systems. In many overseas projects, especially in regions with limited space, unstable infrastructure, or urgent deployment requirements, traditional fixed installations are often not flexible enough to meet project timelines and operational mobility needs. Against this backdrop, containerized sludge dewatering solutions have become an increasingly preferred choice.

2026.05.08 Containerized Decanter Centrifuge Package

The core equipment of this system includes the GNLW364-VFD Decanter Centrifuge, a high-efficiency solid-liquid separation unit designed for continuous operation and variable feed conditions. Equipped with VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) control, the centrifuge allows flexible adjustment of bowl speed and differential speed, ensuring optimal separation performance under different sludge characteristics. This significantly improves dewatering efficiency while reducing energy consumption and operational costs.

In addition to the centrifuge, the system is integrated with a 2000L Polymer Dosing Unit, which ensures precise preparation and dosing of flocculants. Proper chemical conditioning plays a crucial role in improving sludge floc formation, enhancing separation efficiency, and reducing moisture content in the final sludge cake. The dosing system is designed for stable operation, easy adjustment, and reliable performance under continuous working conditions.

All equipment is housed within two 20-foot container units, forming a fully enclosed and mobile sludge dewatering system. The containerized design provides multiple advantages, including rapid installation, easy transportation, weather protection, and reduced on-site civil engineering requirements. This makes the system highly suitable for overseas projects where construction conditions may be limited or timelines are tight.

One of the key strengths demonstrated in this project is GN’s strong system integration capability. Rather than supplying individual standalone machines, GN provides a fully engineered solution that integrates mechanical equipment, chemical dosing, piping, electrical control, and automation into a unified system. The entire process—from sludge feeding, chemical conditioning, dewatering, to discharge—is carefully designed and pre-assembled to ensure smooth commissioning at the project site.

In addition, GN’s engineering team focused on optimizing layout design within the container structure to ensure safe operation, maintenance accessibility, and efficient workflow. Electrical control systems are integrated to allow centralized operation and monitoring, improving system reliability and reducing operator workload.

This project highlights GN’s ability to deliver not only high-performance equipment but also complete process solutions tailored to customer requirements. The containerized sludge dewatering system reflects a modern approach to wastewater treatment—compact, flexible, and highly efficient.

As global demand for sustainable wastewater treatment continues to grow, GN remains committed to providing advanced separation technology and integrated engineering solutions. Through continuous innovation and practical engineering experience, GN aims to support customers worldwide in achieving more efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly sludge management.
