GN 14 Inch Sludge Dewatering Centrifuge Package for Southeast Asia Client

GN Separation has recently completed the manufacture and delivery of a 14-inch sludge dewatering centrifuge package for a client in Southeast Asia. The project reflects GN’s continued capability in delivering integrated solid-liquid separation solutions for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment applications.

With increasing environmental requirements and stricter discharge regulations across Southeast Asia, wastewater treatment facilities are seeking more efficient and reliable technologies to handle complex sludge conditions. In particular, the removal of fine and ultrafine suspended solids has become a key challenge in achieving stable effluent quality and reducing overall treatment costs.

To address these requirements, GN provided a complete sludge dewatering solution based on its 14-inch high-speed decanter centrifuge, combined with a chemical dosing unit. The system is designed to improve separation efficiency by integrating chemical conditioning with centrifugal separation, enabling more effective treatment of difficult wastewater streams.

In many wastewater treatment processes, traditional mechanical separation methods are generally effective for removing relatively larger particles, typically in the range of 2–5 microns. By combining GN’s Chemical Dosing Unit with a high-speed decanter centrifuge, the system enhances the overall separation process. The chemical dosing unit precisely prepares and injects polymer into the sludge stream, promoting the aggregation of fine and ultrafine particles into larger flocs. These flocs are then efficiently separated under high centrifugal force in the decanter centrifuge, significantly improving solid-liquid separation performance.

This integrated approach not only improves the removal efficiency of fine particles but also helps reduce the moisture content of the discharged sludge. As a result, customers can benefit from lower transportation and disposal costs, improved operational stability, and better compliance with environmental standards.

The 14-inch decanter centrifuge is designed for small to medium-capacity sludge treatment applications, offering a balanced performance in terms of efficiency, reliability, and energy consumption.
